Why Choose Certified

At Hanlees Auto Group, we want to bring that sense of comfort and care to our customers. And when it comes to certified pre-owned vehicles, we'd like to reassure you about the benefits when it comes to looking at these type of vehicles.

A certified pre-owned car, CPO for short, is a vehicle that has either been traded in or bought for repurchase. Car manufacturers have the dealers inspect and repair these before selling them from out of their own pocket. Meanwhile, the manufacturers provide a warranty on the certified pre-owned cars. Usually, there are reduced-rate financing options available to interested buyers.

Each car manufacturer has their own take on what it means to buy a CPO vehicle. Click here for more detailed information.

Hanlees Subaru Supports Meals On Wheels of Solano County

Hanlees Napa Subaru is happy to support Meals On Wheels of Solano County. May no senior go hungry.

A statement from Executive Director Cathy Hall

"Meals On Wheels of Solano County's mission is to nourish and enrich the lives of seniors in Solano County with an emphasis on those ages 60 and older, by providing nutritious meals to active and home-bound people; thereby promoting their health, well being and independence.

Meals on Wheels of Solano County has been delivering meals to home-bound seniors in Benicia, Dixon, Fairfield, Rio Vista, Suisun, Vacaville and Vallejo since 1977. Today over 600 meals are prepared fresh and packaged for home delivery or delivery to our congregate sites on a daily basis.

The chief purpose of our organization is to serve senior clients, 60 years of age or older and who are frail or considered at-risk. Many of our clients rely on our program to provide their one healthy, substantial meal of the day. By providing a nutritious meal on a daily basis we are able to aid in the reduction of senior malnutrition, food insecurity and promote senior independence and socialization.

We are partially funded through the Older Americans Act. We are required to maintain an accountable and highly monitored food program. We are proud to serve nourishing and good tasting food. We are not able to accept food donations."

Acceptable Donation Items:

  • Large insulated bags for transporting food
  • Freeze Packs (hard plastic)

Hanlees is now solar powered!

Our commitment to being a company that cares about the environment goes far beyond selling electric vehicles: we just finished adding solar panels to every Hanlees building, including our corporate office. The project, an installation of 3,957 solar panels, will give us the capability to produce enough energy to completely power all of our buildings (an estimated annual annual energy production of 1,690,000kwh).

Installation began at Davis Toyota, where we're taking advantage of more than just the roof of our building: the first phase of our solar installation can be seen on our lot, with a car port that holds 48 solar panels. After that, we added 1,005 solar panels to the roof of our building--essentially covering every available flat surface in solar panels. Since then, we've added panels to every building in both Davis and Richmond.

But our buildings aren't the only thing that are solar powered at Hanlees--the 2015 Prius has an available solar roof that uses embedded solar panels on top of the car to power an electric fan that keeps the inside of the cabin cool when it is parked--not only making your entry back into the vehicle more comfortable, but saving the amount of energy required to cool off your car when you start it up.

Additionally, the Nissan LEAF SL has a photovoltaic solar-panel rear spoiler that converts sunlight into energy to help power vehicle accessories.

Emergency Kits: What to Have in Your Car!

Emergencies happen. You never know what life is going to throw at you. It is better to be prepared in the event of an emergency. Here are some handy things to keep in your car at all times.

  • First aid kit
  • Fire extinguisher
  • Hazard triangle or road flares
  • Tire gauge
  • Flashlight
  • Jumper cables
  • Gloves
  • $20 in small bills and change
  • Pen and pad of paper
  • Basic tools: a multi-head screwdriver, an adjustable wrench, and a pair of pliers
  • Some rags or old cloths
  • Small tarp
  • GPS navigation and a paper map of the area
  • Tire chains
  • Blanket
  • Hand warmers
  • Rain poncho
  • Roll of paper towels
  • Pocket knife
  • Food: granola bar, energy bars, and bottles of water

Store them in a small duffel bag in your trunk so that you are ready in any emergency. If it is too difficult to make your own emergency kit, there many pre-made kits you can purchase and throw in your car.

It may seem crazy or overzealous to keep this many belongings in your car, but in an emergency, these items could save lives. Create and store your own emergency kit today. You never know when it will come in handy!

How to Prepare Your Car for a Road Trip

Often, preparing your car for a road trip can be a nerve raking experience. You have to pack up your car with clothes, food, equipment, entertainment, and materials needed for an emergency.

Before you leave, here are a few things that you need to remember:
  • Get repairs done: How long has it been since your car's last check-up? Make sure you fixed that taillight that went out or that cracked windshield before you head out on the road.
  • How is your tire pressure and tread? Make sure your tires are well inflated and that the tread is good.
  • Do you have a spare tire? In the event of a flat tire, make sure you know how to change a flat and also have the material needed to accomplish that in your car.
  • Do you have your owners manual and registration? Keep your manual handy in case you have car trouble and have your registration ready in case you get pulled over.
  • Is your car clean? Outside and inside? Having a car that is clean inside and out will make it a better experience for the passengers and the clean windows will make it easier for everyone to enjoy the view.
  • How's your air filter? Changing your air filter regularly can help with your fuel economy and save you some gas money!
  • Do you have a map or a GPS? I know we depend on our smartphones for a quick look at a map, but often we don't get service coverage when we are out exploring. Keeping an old fashioned map handy as well as a GPS can prevent that frantic “oh no, we are lost” moment.
  • Do you have car insurance or roadside assistance program? In the event of a breakdown or car accident it is important to have coverage. Do it now so you don't regret it later.
  • Are you loading and storing everything evenly? Remember that storing belongings or equipment on the roof rack of your car will decrease fuel economy. Also, distribute heavy items evenly throughout the car.
  • Do you have emergency items: jumper cables, flashlight, batteries, a gallon water, first aid kit, blanket, food, sunscreen? It's important to have these items in your car at all times.
  • How are your fluids? Oil, transmission, coolant, power steering, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid. All of these help your car run smoothly and efficiently. Remember to check their levels before you head out on the road!

Construction: Hanlees Hilltop Volkswagen

We are in the process of renovating our Hilltop Volkswagen and Hilltop Toyota stores.

Currently our Volkswagen building is being demolished and will be rebuilt to serve as our new Toyota building.  Our Volkswagen dealership will then move to our current Toyota lot and will get a new building after the old Toyota building has been torn down and rebuilt.  Whew!  That was a lot.

Both locations will remain open during this progress.  Volkswagen is currently operating out of this snazzy blue trailer.  It's a little cramped, but it will be worth it once our new building is ready.

It will be a long and stressful process, but we are very excited to see the results.  We want to bring the highest caliber of care to our customers and new spiffy buidlings will contribute to a pleasant experience for all of our visitors as well as our wonderful staff.  So stop by, check out the progress, and chat with us!

We will keep you posted with updates and photographs so you can see our progress and maybe a couple of our stumbles along the way!

Welcome!

How did we get our name?
“Hanlees” comes from the last names of our three owners. Two brothers with the last name: Lee, and their brother-in-law:Han. When we put the two together, we got Hanlees! We believe our name truly represents us as a business that stresses the importance of dedication, hard work, and most importantly: family.
